The Wheel is on the road to showcase everything membership of The Wheel has to offer through a series of regional events. The first one was an in-person event in Cork city where they highlighted their services and told local SEOs about projects and their goals.
The event included:
• Panel discussions on skills, leadership, and advocacy with local and national experts.
• Hands-on training with practical tools for funding, communications, and more.
• Networking opportunities
During the part of the event dedicated to skills, Mairead O’Connor, Senior Sector Skills Policy Manager at The Wheel, facilitated a panel on “Skills and Leadership” and presented the baSE project and its outputs to attendees, with a specific focus on WP4 and WP5 – the creation and piloting of the course “Introduce (the application of) Universal Design Principles”.
