Ethical Leadership in Action: Piloting the baSE Course in Poland

From 7 to 11 April 2025, Polish partners (FISE and KARR) piloted the online course Support your team through ethical leadership through the MOOC platform. The process concluded with an in-person workshop held on 12 April in Koszalin, Poland, hosted in collaboration with venue partner KARR.

Both the course and the workshop focused on exploring ethical leadership through interactive modules, case study scenarios, and tools designed to encourage both group collaboration and individual reflection.

As the trainers shared:

“We have completed the first phase of the pilot. We tested the online course and various educational methods. We used new interactive modules and case study scenarios. We tested tools for small group work and those designed to trigger individual reflection. The pilot session was a truly immersive experience. It was extremely rewarding to work directly with the participants, to observe their interactions with the prepared materials and to witness the moments when our tools worked. Insightful evaluation questions ensured that the pilot highlighted the real relevance of the baSE project objectives. The pilot showed that everyday work in the social economy sector often focuses on economics and productivity. In our daily communication, we sometimes forget about the values of the sector. Now is also the time for our internal reflection. We need to think again about simplifying the whole process and preparing for the scale of impact that the project envisages. The diverse perspectives and experiences of the members of the test team have shown us that there are many ways to find broader solutions.”
