As part of the Europe Day celebration, DOBA Faculty organized the online discussion “Europe as We Co-Create It – DOBA, the EU, and the Power Within Us“ bringing together experts, projects, and European values in practice.
Under the moderation of Mateja Geder, Head of the Project Office, DOBA Faculty’s lecturers – Dr. Marko Divjak, Dr. Marina Letonja, Dr. Martina Plantak, and Dr. Živa Veingerl Čič –engaged in a discussion on key topics: digital transition, entrepreneurial equality, mental health, and sustainable development.
Four Erasmus+ projects were presented:
• FEM-Up – empowering young women in STEM with entrepreneurial competencies
• ASAP – promoting emotionally balanced and safe use of digital tools among youth
• BeWell – supporting the well-being of students and teachers
• baSE – developing leadership skills and resilience in the social economy
The event emphasized that European values are best reflected through tangible projects and collaborations that build an inclusive, connected, and sustainability-oriented society.
During the event, several meaningful questions were raised in connection with the baSE project, focusing on its practical relevance, impact, and future outlook:
• How is the baSE project actually transforming the support environment for the social economy – not just on paper, but in practice?
• How will the developed resources, such as SocioComp and other learning tools, be made accessible to the wider public?
• Was there a moment during the project when you thought, “Now we are truly doing something meaningful”?
• What personally inspired you the most while participating in this project?
In addition, participants from the audience posed the following questions:
• Since we are also working in the field of social economy, we are curious: What phase is the baSE project currently in, and what can we expect before its conclusion?
• How did you assess the needs of the target groups, and what led you to select the specific content areas presented?
• Will the materials introduced be freely available, and where will they be accessible?
These questions helped deepen the discussion about the practical impact, accessibility, and long-term value of the baSE project in strengthening resilience and leadership capacities within the social economy.
